Welcome to our Registration site

How to Register
  • Select “Login” and complete all fields on the account information page for the member (parent)
  • Select “Add Participant” and complete all fields to add any children that will be registered in a program
  • Once all participants have been added, click on “Registration”
 
Register for a program or class
  • Click on "Register Here" in the right column and select your program.  You will then need to select the appropriate participant (if registering more than one person).
  • If you are registering for more programs, select “Register for More Programs” or if you are finished registering, select “Confirm & Register”.
 
Skate Canada Membership Fee
  • All particpants must be a registered Skate Canada member and must pay the annual membership fee.  The membership fee will automatically be added to your invoice when registering for a program in the skating season (September 1 - August 31).  
Fundraising fee 
  • All families are charged a one time fundraising fee of $50.  While we will run other fundraisers during the season and ask for family to help, these fundraisers are optional.

Ice Show Fee

  • All skaters participate in our Ice Show.  The Ice Show is planned for March 2023.  The club will be organizing the costumes and will have to place any needed orders by the end of December.  Any skater who registers after December 15 may not be able to participate in the ice show. 
  • Please ask if you are a late registation and we will let you know if it is possible to add your skater to a group. 
  • If you select pay by installment the Ice Show fee will be charged on November 1 for Pre Canskate, Canskate and Junior academy and on Novemebr 1 and December 1 for Star 1-3 and Star 4+ skaters.  If you select pay in full you will be charged this fee today.

Volunteering

  • The Yellowknife Skating Club relies on its members to volunteer to help make our club run.  All skaters are to provide a post dated volunteer cheque during the first week of skating in September.  More information about this will follow and can also be found on the Volunteer page of our website.

Group Skating Lessons Registration: 

PRE-CANSKATE

  •  for first-time skaters and beginners. 

CANSKATE

  • for those with prior skating experience who can skate around the rink without assistance.

JUNIOR ACADEMY

  •  for those with previous skating experience who are interested in trying jumps, spins, and moving to music on the ice. Figure skates and hockey helmet required.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED
  • Each skater must bring their own equipment: 
  • Hockey or Figure Skates with sharpened blades
  • CSA approved hockey helmet
  • Winter gloves and jacket
  • Skate guards
